Abstract
To-day all but a small percentage of diarrhoeal patients can be treated successfully solely with oral glucose-electrolyte solutions. This can be accomplished, effectively and economically by the distribution of packets containing pre-weighed amount of glucose and electrolytes to be added to measured volumes of water in the hospital, in local treatment centres and most importantly in the home, even in the most rural and under - developed areas.Downloads
