Abstract

Titanium has created considerable interest both among mechanical and chemical engineers. Some of its intrinsic qualities often enable titanium to step in where more traditional metals have been found unsuitable. Despite the developments in new fields, titanium industry remains identified with space and air-craft industry for a long time.
