Study Of The Water Quality From Chigargunta Gold Prospect Area, Andhra Pradesh

Abstract

Chigargunta gold prospect area forms the south­ern extension of Kolar Gold Fields. The water analysis data were plotted on standard classifi­cation diagram to ascertain the quality of the water. A distinct variation in water quality has been observed. The need for protective measures for the mining installations against corrosion and location of wells in granitic terrain to meet do­ mestic requirements is emphasized.
