The average quantities, molar mass of polymers and molecular speed in fluids, have been treated rigorously to have the general proofs that the weight average molecular weight of a polymer sample is higher than its number average molecular weight, and the rms speed of the molecules of a gas or liquid is higher than their mean speed. The methods work for any distribution.Downloads
