Collecting waters in a proper way from rain is termed as Rainwater Harvesting. The main aim of this Rainwater Harvesting is to store this collected water for direct use or to replenish the depleted ground water at the time of rains or even after. This paper discusses about the need to implement various measures to ensure that rain falling over a region can be tapped as fully as possible through water harvesting to short out the problem of water scarcity occurs during non-rainy periods either by recharging the harvested water into the groundwater aquifers or storing it for direct use later.Downloads
